Adult Learning Taps Into It

Illawarra adult learners will have access to discounted, and in some cases free, Information and Computer technology courses.

NSW Education and Training Minister John Aquilina made the announcement yesterday to kick off NSW Adult Learners Week 2001.

``This year's theme, Making the Connection, is about ... encouraging the community to become more IT literate," Mr Aquilina said.

Seniors in the Illawarra are eligible for a discount to the Computers for Pensioners program. For more information contact your Adult and Community Education centre or check out www.bace.nsw.gov.au.
